OUTCOME BASED EDUCATION
Outcome-based education (OBE) focuses on a clearly articulated understanding of what students are expected to know and be able to accomplish when they leave the institute, i.e., what skills and knowledge they must have. It is also known as performance-based education, and it attempts to quantify educational efficacy using outcomes rather than inputs such as class time. The student learning outcomes are the criteria by which curriculum is established or changed, instructional materials are chosen, teaching methods are implemented, and evaluation is undertaken.
