Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering of MGICOET Shegaon !
Electrical engineers design the most sophisticated systems ever built. From computers with billions of transistors to micro grids fed by renewable energy sources, from algorithms that predict disease to solar cells and electric vehicles, electrical engineering touches all parts of modern society.
The Department of Electrical Engineering at MGICOET offers a vibrant environment for Under Graduate (BE) and Post Graduate (ME) education in Electrical Engineering. The vision of the department is to produce globally acceptable Electrical engineers through technical education and research for the benefit of society.
The Department is, running UG program in Electrical (Electronics and Power) Engineering ,PG program in Electrical Power Systems and PhD program in Electrical Engineering.
The Department has experienced and well qualified faculty and staff. The Department has adequately equipped laboratories like Basic Electrical lab, Electrical Machines lab, Switchgear and Protection lab, Network Analysis lab, Control System lab and Project lab to meet the requirement of curriculum. The lab facilities are regularly upgraded to provide opportunities for the students to study recent technological advancement in industry and innovate.
The department regularly organizes training programmes, Expert lectures and workshops for the faculty and students to prepare the students for absorption by the industry. All undergraduate and postgraduate students thereby get full opportunity to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities leading to a holistic personality development.
Faculty members of our department are not only very passionate about teaching but are also engaged in research. We pride ourselves on having students in University merit list every year. We provide a very informal atmosphere between faculty and students.
Electrical Department is a place where faculty and students come together to develop new ideas and projects.
