Mauli College of Engineering and Technology, Shegaon ‎


           The popular techno-cultural festival “Ignite - 2023” was organized on 20th and 21st January, 2023 at Mauli College of Engineering & Technology, Shegaon.  Every year, this techno-cultural festival is organized for the students of engineering and polytechnic and this was the 8th year of Ignite. To showcase the scientific, technical and cultural qualities of the students, 18 different types of competitions were arranged. There competitions were based on technical skills related to all branches like mechanical, electrical, computer, electronics and civil engineering such as Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Project Competition, Robo War, Robo Race, Circuit Mania, Bicycle Assembly, CAD War, Lathe War, Bridge Mania, Group Dance, Pro-Kabaddi etc.

            The festival was inaugurated on January 20th at 11 am with great fanfare. As the chief guest of this ceremony, Mr. Rishikesh Dhande (Academic Relationship Manager, TCS, Pune), Mr. Biren Bhatia (Factory Manager, HUL Khamgaon), Mr. Hanwant Purohit (HR Manager, HUL Khamgaon), Chairman of the Institute Shri. Dnyaneshwarji Dada Patil, Principal Dr. C. M. Jadhao, all Head of  the Departments, Ignite Convener Prof. Swapnil Bhadang, Student Secretary Akshay Gawande were present. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by dignitaries. Hon’ble Principal Dr. C. M. Jadhao gave introduction about Ignite. He expressed the hope that, the students should participate in such workshops to increase their technical skills, imagination and all-round development.            

            From reputed IT company TCS, Mr. Hrishikesh Dhande expressed the belief that students should participate in competitions like Ignite to update themselves in the field of technology and it will surely help them to develop their career and personality in an excellent way. This educational activity initiated by Mauli Group is an opportunity for the students and he praised the various activities done in a short span of time and suggested the management to continue the conduction of such workshops. After this, expressing his thoughts Mr. Biren Bhatia said that, failure is the first step towards success. If you keep consistency and dedication, you can easily overcome many difficulties on the way to success. He expressed hope that by participating in such workshops, students will definitely get help to look at life from a positive perspective and the purpose of Mauli Group will be successful. The inauguration program was coordinated by Prof. Manishkumar Tayade and vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Anuja Wadekar.

          After this, various competitions were started. Engineering and Polytechnic students from all corners of Maharashtra enthusiastically participated in the festival. Total count was more than 1500 students from various districts like Amravati, Washim, Akola, Jalgaon, Yavatmal, Buldhana etc. were the participants. A dance competition was also organized in the evening of the first day of the festival.

On the second day of the festival, after the final round of competitions, the prize distribution ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Principal Dr. C. M. Jadhao. The winners were felicitated with cash prizes, mementos and certificates. A certificate was also given to each participant. Disciplined conduct, interesting and enlightening competitions and transparent evaluation have made this “Ignite-2023” festival of Mauli Engineering an all-time favorite.
